Château Puyfromage

Vintage 2000

Spectacular

Meteorological conditions :

A contrasted winter : humidity in January and cold in February.
Spring : April was rainy, but May and June were gentle and dry.
The flowering spread from the end of May to mid-June.
A rainy July and a hot and dry August were decisive for the future maturation of the grapes.
A nice and dry weather during the harvest.

Harvest :

The harvest started the 28th of September and ended the 14th of October.
The radiant September and October sun allowed the cabernet to reach a full maturity.
The grapes, with thick skins and a good concentration, gave as early as the end of the vinification, powerful and colorful wines.

Wine (march 2005) :

A deep ruby color.
A nose with concentrated fruit aromas evoking dark cherry .
An ample mouth with a silky start and smooth tannins.
A persistent final with a low acidity and ripe fruits.
